AMMAN — The Lower House's Palestine Committee on Wednesday announced that it will be on a permanent session to expose the crimes of the Israeli occupation, and address Arab and international parliaments to rally support to halt the war against Gaza and end the suffering of the Palestinian people.
The announcement was made during a committee meeting to discuss the latest developments in occupied Palestine and reaffirm the Jordanian stance, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah, which calls for halting the aggression on the Palestinian people, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
MP Firas Ajarmeh, head of the committee, said that the entire region will not reach security and peace without a just solution to the Palestinian issue in a way that preserves the rights of the Palestinian people and ends siege and injustice on them.
The lawmaker also called for stopping the Israeli aggression against Gaza, delivering humanitarian assistance and addressing world parliaments to halt the massacres perpetrated by the occupation.
Deputy Fayez Basbous said that the Israeli aggression targets children and women under unprecedented international silence, referring to the massacre on Tuesday in Jabalia refugee camp.
Basbous said that Jordan has "brave and unaltered" stances that contributed to endorsing a UN General Assembly resolution, which called for an immediate humanitarian truce and establishing humanitarian corridors. "Yet, the occupation did not respond to this resolution amidst an international silence."
